Challenge: 30 Days of Cycle Creativity
What are we doing?
A 30-day challenge to honor your creative flow in sync with your cycle.
During the length of your menstrual cycle (not necessarily a calendar month), commit to doing one creative act every day - the same creative act, consistently.
Whether you're bleeding, ovulating, nesting, or resting - your creative energy shifts throughout the month.
We want to create a space where art, community and learning can find common ground.
So let’s harness that energy together and create in rhythm.
Why are we doing it?
Raise Awareness – about cyclical living, creativity, and self-connection.
Engage the Community – connect with others through shared creativity and vulnerability.
Celebrate Consistency & Simplicity – it's not about perfection, it’s about showing up.
How to participate?
Step 1: Choose Your Daily Creative Act
Pick one simple creative practice you'll do each day during your cycle. Some ideas:
Journaling (free writing, reflective prompts)
Sketching or doodling
Daily photography
Knitting or crochet
5-minute dance or movement
Collage
Audio or voice journaling
One sentence poem/story
Pick something low-pressure and joyful — something that feels sustainable and nourishing.
Step 2: Start on Day 1 of Your Cycle
Start on Day 1 of your period, it gives you a good reference point of where you are in your cycle.
If you are super eager, and want to start right away go with the flow. You might not know exactly where you are in your cycle but you can still be reflective and creative!
Step 3: Do your chosen creative act once per day, every day.
For example, I have decided to write a two sentence poem every day. I am currently on day 7 of my cycle, and this is what I wrote today:
“Discontected though I may feel,
Home being so far away.
Life churns the wheel,
And I keep moving day-by-day.”
Step 4: Connect with the community of artists and share your cyclical creativity!
—> Not feeling social media? Still participate privately, and send us an email: hello@unboxingcycles.com. Have the file name be, “DayofCycle_Name”.
Example: “7_Lucyna”.
Easy, right?

Tag us as well (@unboxingcycles) so we can amplify your work and build a gallery of art, journaling, dancing, poetry all to do with the menstrual cycle!
(Pssst, it would also be helpful if you mentioned somewhere the day of your cycle.)
No Pressure Zone
Didn’t do it one day? That’s okay. Pick it up the next.
Once again: Not feeling social media? Still participate privately, and send us an email: hello@unboxingcycles.com
The point isn’t performance. It’s connection — to self, to rhythm, and to the collective creative pulse.
