(inner) winter - Glacier in Graubünden

”Everything slows down. My body aches, especially in my back, urging me to lay down and stay still.

However, as training is part of my everyday life, staying still is not really an option. I still want to perform: but in this phase I tend to focus even more on regeneration.

The first couple of days bring confusion - I might feel lost, questioning everything, searching for clarity in the quiet. But this phase, while challenging, feels necessary.

Mentally, it is a moment of pause, a chance to reset. Like the cycle of nature, my winter teaches me to slow down. To listen and to honour the need to regenerate and rebuild.”
